Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Make It Special Gifting ("Make It Special", "we", "us"), Bangalore, India, collects and uses personal data through makeitspecial.co.in and when you contact us.

1. Who is responsible

Make It Special Gifting, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. For any privacy question or request, email inquiry@makeitspecial.co.in. Grievance contact: the Grievance Officer, Make It Special, at the same email address.

2. What we collect

Corporate quote form: your name, company, mobile number and/or email, how you would like to be contacted, number of people, occasion and date, and whether you opted in to marketing.
Course waitlist: your name, mobile number and/or email, and what describes you best.
How you found us: the page and any campaign tags (such as utm_source) attached to your enquiry.
On your device: your region choice and cookie choice are saved in your browser so the site remembers them. They are not sent to us.
Analytics and advertising cookies: only if you click "Allow" in the cookie banner (see section 7).

Using the Ask box, the Gift Finder and the gift idea pages does not require any personal data.

3. Why we use it

To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote and deliver an order (steps you ask us to take before and under a contract).
To tell you about the course if you joined the waitlist (your consent).
To send occasional gifting ideas and offers, only if you ticked the marketing box (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
To understand visits and improve the site, only if you allow analytics cookies (your consent).
To keep business and tax records we are required to keep by law.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, such as Google (Workspace, Sheets, Gmail and, with your consent, Analytics), Meta (WhatsApp, and with your consent the Meta Pixel), and courier partners when we deliver an order. These providers may store data outside India.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become orders are kept for 12 months and then deleted. Order and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe.

6. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent (including unsubscribing from marketing), or raise a grievance, by emailing inquiry@makeitspecial.co.in. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Cookies

Analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel) stay off unless you click "Allow". You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the homepage. The site also stores your region and cookie choice in your browser so it can remember them.

8. Children

This website and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Security

Access to enquiry records is limited to named staff, and we take reasonable steps to protect personal data. If a breach affects your data, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. Changes

We may update this notice. The date at the top shows the latest version.
